I always tell my clients that pain and illness are a golden opportunity to find the true cause of a problem and then correct it. For me, back pain was something I suffered with from a very young age. I would often experience pain after doing any physical activity, and it always seemed to follow me around.
When I was 18, I had a crisis of back pain that coincided with a client from my parent’s health food store raving about chiropractic. I decided to visit my local chiropractor, and I loved the idea of helping people improve their health without using medication or surgery. With time, I managed to combine my passion for chiropractic with my passion for surfing. I’ve been an official sports chiropractor for the World Surf League for 20 years, and my work with athletes is the same as the work I do with anyone else – recognising what is compromised and correcting it.
Back pain is something that so many people suffer from, but it doesn’t have to be something that you just accept as normal. With the help of a chiropractor, you can find relief and get back to living your life pain-free.
